History
Saint Augustine
1886
Our building was built over 130 years ago as a private residence. It then became the first office for the Saint Augustine Transfer Company. When you visit you’ll see the horses and carriages around town. This was the very first carriage company. Their main job was transferring holiday makers from Piccolata on the Saint John’s River to Saint Augustine. The tourists would travel from Jacksonville up the river to Piccolata, about 18 miles west of here then take a 4-5 hour stage coach ride to Saint Augustine. The Colee family owned the Saint Augustine Transfer Company and AB Colee was the builder of this home.

Have a Question?
Policies & F.A.Q.
Where Do I Park?
Free parking is included in your stay in the City Garage per day (right across from us) (There is security in garage 24 hrs a day) We assume no responsibility for your vehicle or belongings.
Is Breakfast Included?
Basic breakfast items, cups of cereal, oatmeals, granola/breakfast bars are available in your room. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker with a selection of coffees and teas.
Is It Noisy Being Above The Pub?
On weekend nights, we have live music and there is a ton of fun going on in the pub. We have made every effort to keep the suite as quiet as possible for your enjoyment, but there is minimal noise.
Is Room Service Available?
Yes, during the pub opening hours. To add a little more fun, we’ve installed an old-fashioned room service system:
a bucket, rope and pulley take your order to and from the pub downstairs.
Is Smoking Allowed in the Suite?
Smoking is ONLY permitted on the OUTSIDE front porch or downstairs on the pub porch. SMOKING INSIDE WILL CONSTITUTE A FORFEITURE OF YOUR ENTIRE $250.00 SECURITY DEPOSIT WITH NO EXCEPTIONS!!
What's The Best Way To Get Around Town?
We are located in downtown historic St. Augustine and are within walking distance of all the downtown attractions, shops and art galleries.
There are also pedi cabs, golf cart, scooter, and bicycle rentals or bring you own bike (Locks are a must and we assume no responsibility for your bikes) and use our bike rack downstairs. Uber, taxi cabs or your own vehicle are options as well. Depending on the time of the year sometimes we recommend that you leave your car parked in the parking garage as long as possible, because in our tiny town parking is a premium and fills up very quickly.
Do You Offer Any Discounts?
As a special thank you, we offer a 10% discount on room rates to military personnel, fire fighters, EMTs and police year round. Please present your ID at check in to obtain the discount. We will refund your 10% through Airbnb after check in.
